Show-cause notice to Hafeez over remarks against Amir

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Friday has issued a show cause notice to Mohammad Hafeez for his comments against tainted pacer Mohammad Amir, who is currently playing in the third season of the BRB Cables Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) for Chittagong Vikings.

Hafeez on last Saturday during an interview with Jang revealed that he had turned down a lucrative offer from BPL franchise Chittagong Vikings as he didn’t want to to play alongside Mohammad Amir. Hafeez further added that he had no personal conflict with Amir but as Amir’s activity in the past had hampered the image of the Pakistan cricket team, he refused to play with the tainted pacer.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Shaharyar Khan had also admitted some senior players were against the inclusion of Amir, Salman Butt and Mohammad Asif. But it seems like the PCB didn’t like Hafeez’s making comment on Amir in public that’s why they have issued show cause notice to one of their most senior batsmen of the current Pakistan national set-up.
