Tamim wants to back in the winning track
The third edition of the Bangladesh Premier League has stepped into its second phase of the competition after a change in the venue from Dhaka to Chittagong but luck has not changed for the local team Chittagong Vikings.
After the completion of five matches, the Vikings have picked up a single win so far and in danger of elimination from the competition prior to their sixth match that is going to take place within several hours from now on against Rangpur Riders.
The Vikings’ captain and icon Tamim Iqbal Khan is quite frustrated with the performances of his team, “We started well in the last match also, but afterwards it was the same old story. We are missing a lot of catches in the field in all these games” – said Tamim.
“I may be the captain but I cannot guide every delivery a bowler has to bowl” – Tamim reckoned. “We have star performers in our team but none of them has yet been able to show their temperament in the field. Everything turned out in a wrong way for us” – added the skipper.
But Tamim Iqbal expressed his satisfaction over his personal performance, “I am happy for what I am doing. We will try our best to win in the next matches. I think we have a very good bowling line up in this tournament but unfortunately it has not yet flourished.”
