Super Stars won a cliffhanger


Sylhet Super Stars has at last claimed their first win in this season’s BPL. At the M A Aziz Stadium in Chittagong, Sylhet Super Stars has just defeated Comilla Victorians by 4 wickets.

Amidst thrilling suspense in the penultimate overs of the game, Super Stars hold their nerve till the end to sail their team into the port of victory.

Sylhet just needed 2 runs in the last over of the match with 6 wickets in hand but Abu Hider Rony throttled the batting line up in the last over of the match picking up two wickets in consecutive deliveries including that of settled Ravi Bopara. Bopara scored 50 off 38 balls with 4 fours and a six.
Nurul Hasan flicked a six in the single ball he faced to end up in the victory lap.
Earlier in the innings of Sylhet Super Stars Mushfiqur Rahim scored a brilliant knock of 47 (31 balls, 4×4), unfortunately being deprived of his half century by Kulasekara.
In the initial stage of the innings, Dilshan Munaweera continued his good form in this competition. Before becoming the second victim of Abu Hider, Munaweera scored 36 runs of 26 balls with 3 fours and 2 sixes.
For Comilla Victorians, Abu Hider produced an excellent bowling figure of 4 for 28 runs delivering 3.4 overs.
