Every player should come to play BPL : Shahid Afridi
Flamboyant all-rounder Shahid Afridi, who was playing for Sylhet Superstars in the third season of BRB Cables Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) and ended the journey on Thursday, showered Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) with praise for being able to showcase a well-organised BPL this time. Even the Pakistani recruit also stated that every player should come to Bangladesh to take part in the BPL and enjoy the prestigious T20 tournament.
“BPL and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) deserve all the credits. It has so far been a very well-organised the tournament. I personally really enjoyed the tournament,” reckoned Afridi at the post match press conference on Thursday.
“This is a great platform for all the cricketers and I think every player should come to play BPL and enjoy the cricket,” said the Sylhet captain. The all-rounder also added that they have derailed from the group stage of the BPL for making the same mistakes repeatedly almost every games.
“I think if you see I was not with the team from the start of the competition. We lost some very close games earlier of the tournament because of few changes were not easy to make the team’s combination,” he conceded.
